Examiner Matt Carter – Adam Lambert’s ‘Aftermath’ remix heading to radio this week “The song will be placed into the hands of radio station managers around the country, but then it will ultimately be in their hands as to whether or not the song is going to get any sort of airplay. (In other words, kick off the tasteful requests!)”
USA Today – Adam Lambert EP sales rise 2,000 percent after ‘Idol’ appearance “In the wake of Adam Lambert’s performance of Aftermath on last week’s American Idol results show, sales of his Acoustic Live! EP skyrocketed, selling more than 3,000 units last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That’s a 2,132% increase over the EP’s previous week’s sales and enough to put the EP back into The Billboard 200 chart.”
US News – Vevo previewing Adam Lambert ‘Glam Nation Live’ performances “Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Live concert CD/DVD will be out next week, but Vevo is previewing the release with video clips on its site. Check out Sleepwalker above, and also watch Whataya Want From Me, Fever and Strut. The concert was shot last August in Indianapolis.”

At The Disco will round out the live musical performances at the “NewNowNext Awards” 2011. They will join previously announced acts Robyn, Oh Land and Wynter Gordon. Additionally, Logo revealed the first group of presenters scheduled to appear. The “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 premieres Monday, April 11th at 10/9C on Logo.“

Just Jared – Adam Lambert: Glams Up For The After Party “Adam Lambert attends the Bebe: The After Party event held at the SupperClub on Thursday (March 17) in Hollywood, Calif. The 29-year-old Aftermath singer was also joined by rock singer BC Jean and designer Roxy Contin, who debuted her new Spring line. The party was a part of LA Fashion Week which featured designs of the international fashion line, Bebe. Also in attendance was Santino Rice, Ru Paul, and Michael Benz.” Photos at Just Jared.
Rolling Stone review of Glam Nation Live CD/DVD – via revid99: “Moving at a frantic pace that befits its subject, this 67 minute CD-DVD set captures Lambert on his first solo tour, showing off his sometimes uneasy, often triumphant hybrid of glam rock, Broadway, and dance pop. At first there are so many pre-recorded backgrounds that his singing seems barely live. Barefoot and overdressed, this Mad Hatter changes costumes often while guitarist Monte Pitman shreds. But after racing through RoF and WWFM, Lambert finds his groove, showing off his theatrical training on heavily choreographed numbers like “Strut.” He often comes across like an actor playing a rocker rather than the real thing, but Lambert’s charisma and considerable chops compensate for his lingering staginess..”
Disco Rodeo – Aftermath Remix on the Radio Very informative post: “Adam Official’s moderator, RCA Ed, said last night that they’re servicing the Aftermath Remix (hereinafter referred to as AMR) to terrestrial radio. This first led to everyone trying to figure out just what terrestrial radio was, because we’re weird like that. Turns out it doesn’t mean that Planet Fierce is left out – they’ll just get it a little later. Terrestrial radio, as cleared up by RCA Ed in a second post, is basically regular old-fashioned broadcast radio, not satellite or internet. Once we got that determined, we went on to the flail. I mean, a new Adam song on the radio? Yes, YES, YES! – um, wait…” Read on…
Entertainment Weekly – Glam Nation Live (2011) The first review we’ve seen of the live CD/DVD, and it awards an A-. Yay! “If there’s any newish pop act worthy of a live release, it’s American Idol runner-up Lambert, whose vocal acrobatics make this a terrific complement to his 2009 solo debut. Because he incubated before us in a perform-or-die setting, Lambert’s ability to work a crowd is audible. Everything from his hit ”Whataya Want From Me” to his take on ”Ring of Fire” sizzles more than the too-too-perfect studio versions.”
Disco Rodeo – Re-inventing Adam – “I have no idea what his current reinvention is going to do, although I’m rather pleased that he intends a rock edge to his pop. I also know that can change at any point – Adam’s made that clear himself. And there will be more albums (I’m sure of it) and videos and tours in the future, and he’ll reinvent himself again.”
Ovation Acoustic Bass Graces American Idol “When Adam Lambert’s bass player Tommy Joe Ratcliff was told their upcoming American Idol performance was going to be an unplugged version of Adam’s new single “Aftermath”, he knew he was going to need an acoustic bass. Being a Fender guy, Tommy contacted FMIC artist relations who in turn hooked him up with the Ovation B778TX that was hanging in the new FMIC artist relations facility in Burbank. The result was a great spot for Ovation on last Thursday’s American Idol (21 million viewers) and one happy bass player.”

Okay, so what is the ear thingy in the Bebe shoot? I have had no answers on twitter or any blog. At first I thought it was an audio earpiece that we have seen so often on him. Was he performing or announcing? Then in other pictures, it just looked like and “accoutrement”. In another, back to an actual earpiece. Oh, Adam, you just keep us on our toes!
And the picture of just Adam close up…..those eyes!! And the eye make-up. Beautiful. I heard one of the “fashion commentators” at the Grammys say, “Adam Lambert gives that ‘I’m going to eat you alive’ look better than anyone on the Red Carpet”. So true. That’s the look. And he never fails on that one!
I believe it’s a Puja ear cuff. He wore it last year at that even to benefit artists, where he wore that white satin suit. – J
