Billboard – Adam Lambert Mini Residency Coming to Las Vegas’ Venetian Theatre: Exclusive. “His first turn in Las Vegas, back in September 2018 was a 10-night sell-out at Park Theater — where Lady Gaga performs — with Queen + Adam Lambert’s “The Crown Jewels” residency. Live Nation’s Billy Conn, the promoter behind the Venetian Theatre, says that Lambert was an easy choice for a “mini residency” as he appeals to different audiences from a range of demographics. Tickets go on sale Feb. 8 for Velvet, his three-night limited engagement at Venetian Theatre. Lambert will tour the 13-song Velvet across Europe starting in Manchester, U.K. on Aug. 30 for the Manchester Pride festival, before playing London’s Wembley Arena and making his way across Europe concluding in Helsinki on September 12.”

Out – 2020 Is the Year of Adam Lambert’s Takeover. “If you’ve been feeling like you haven’t had enough Adam Lambert in your life, you’re in luck. For 2020, the musician who first had his big break on American Idol, has a headline slot at Manchester pride, an album, a tour, and a Las Vegas residency on the way. And all of this is coming after he already launched his charity, the Feel Something Foundation, to help other LGBTQ+ organizations. A full plate!”

Rolling Stone – MUSIC. Adam Lambert Announces New Album, Drops Funky Single ‘Roses’ Featuring Nile Rodgers.Adam Lambert has announced a new album, Velvet, out March 20th. The singer also dropped the funky lead single, “Roses,” featuring Nile Rodgers of Chic. “You’re like a knife cuz your looks could kill/Hold my breath every time we kiss,” he sings over Rodgers’ guitar. The Seventies disco pioneer can be heard all over the track, echoing his work on Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” Velvet is Lambert’s fourth LP. The album features 13 tracks, which Lambert described as “Thirteen slinky numbers to catch a vibe to.” “Roses” follows the singles “Superpower,” “Comin in Hot” and “Feel Something.”

Ambient Light – Queen + Adam Lambert, Auckland NZ, 2020. “Accompanying the legendary Brian May and Roger Taylor on stage of course, the incomparable Adam Lambert, who after almost a decade of performing alongside his own personal heroes has more than earned his stripes. Is he trying to replicate the great Freddie Mercury, no he is not, nor has he ever attempted to. Instead, each and every night he pays homage to the man himself, celebrating both his life and his gifts right alongside not only those on stage with him, but the vast sea of faces before him; the addition of his own nuances only adding a vibrancy and colour to the music that would no doubt curl the corners of Mercury’s lips in delight.”

New Zealand Herald – Review: Queen + Adam Lambert bring the magic to Mt Smart Stadium. “Though some have mixed feelings about the post-Mercury era, Queen and Adam Lambert brought the magic to Mt Smart on a perfect summer night. It was large, bombastic and fantastic. They rocked, they rolled and they reigned.”

Libel Music – Concert Review: Queen with Adam Lambert – Wellington – 5th February 2020. “I wasn’t a huge Lambert fan prior to last night, however, after witnessing the nearly ten years collaboration coupled with his outstanding voice and onstage presence; I can’t think of anybody else that would be more suited to Queen. As hit after hit was performed, this was further reiterated. ”

Newsweek – ADAM LAMBERT ON TURNING TO SOUL AND AWAY FROM ‘TREND-BASED’ POP MUSIC, PETE BUTTIGIEG AND CHANNELING FREDDIE MERCURY. “”Something I’ve come to the conclusion of over the past couple of years is coming up with my own definition of success. On this project, my measure of success was: Does this feel real? Do I love it? And am I growing?”…”I’m very proud to see somebody who identifies as gay running in a political election. It’s very inspiring,” says Lambert. But that doesn’t necessarily mean an endorsement. Whether Lambert votes for Buttigieg will ultimately depend on the policies he puts forth, not his sexuality. “I think the identity politics are sort of an invitation … it’s a way to invite people to the party,” he explains. “There’s a certain amount of understanding that goes between the gay community and a gay candidate. But at the end of the day, people aren’t blind to the issues at hand and those need to be weighed properly.” Lambert is coy about the Democratic candidates he’s backing in the primary—”There’s a couple that I really like,” he says—but believes it “has to be someone that can knock this other guy [Trump] out of office.””
