Montreal Gazette Concert Review: Five highlights of opening night of Queen + Adam Lambert North American tour. “From the rising gold crown that framed the stage to the gilded opera box seat some super VIP folks were enjoying the show from, this was a far more lavish production than the last go-around. And Queen should be regally decked out…Addressing the “Pink Elephant in the room,” the singer made clear his role as interpreter rather than replacement. And promptly performed a version of Don’t Stop Me Now where the “having a good time” chorus seemed obvious. The guy can deliver gems such as Somebody to Love, the camp Bicycle Race or the dramatic Who Wants to Live Forever with aplomb.”

Seattle Times Review: Queen + Adam Lambert conquer Tacoma Dome with blockbuster panache on Rhapsody tour. “It’s hard to imagine a more tasteful way for a band with nothing to prove to carry on decades after losing one of the most singular frontmen in rock history. But the Queen + Adam Lambert experience fits like a pair of the authoritative singer’s gold-laced gloves. Don’t stop ’em now.”

All You Need to Know About: Queen in Vancouver. “Loving the chemistry—as well as Lambert’s determination to be his own frontman, rather than a Mercury clone—the two still-active Queens decided that they were having enough fun to keep going as a live act. In his book Queen in 3-D, May suggested that his late bandmate would have loved his replacement for no other reason than Lambert’s vocal chops. “I always think that Freddie, with a wicked smile, would say something like ‘I hate you, Madam Lambert,’” he wrote. “Because even Freddie would have been gobsmacked at his range and his ability to reinterpret these songs which the four of us originally created together.”

Official Charts – Adam Lambert talks frustration with “playing the Top 40 game” and his new Prince-inspired album Velvet. “”It feels really comfortable,” he said of the album’s direction. In the past I’ve definitely had singles where I’ve gone to perform them and… it’s harder than I thought. I had to figure out how to perform them live. With New Eyes, there’s an effortlessness to it. It’s supposed to feel comfortable, like someone is hugging you.”

Queen’s Live Aid Performance: How Rock’s Royalty Stole The Show. LOVE THIS! “Queen smoked ’em. They just took everybody. They walked away being the greatest band you’d ever seen in your life, and it was unbelievable,” said Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters. “And that’s what made the band so great; that’s why they should be recognised as one of the greatest rock bands of all time, because they could connect with an audience.”

Listen to the Official Charts Take the Hits podcast! He wanted to warm everyone up! Mostly foreplay.

This is hysterical!
