Idolator – Ed Sheeran, Adam Lambert & Jennifer Lopez Join Elvis Presley Tribute “NBC is celebrates Elvis Presley’s birthday (he would have turned 84 today) by announcing an Elvis All-Star Tribute. Hosted by Blake Shelton, the two-hour show will air on February 17 and pay tribute to The King’s iconic ’68 Comeback Special. Performers include Shawn Mendes(“Hound Dog”), Ed Sheeran (“Can’t Help Falling In Love”), Jennifer Lopez (“Heartbreak Hotel”), Darius Rucker (“One Night”), Carrie Underwood (a gospel medley), Adam Lambert(“Blue Suede Shoes”) and Alessia Cara (“Love Me Tender”).”

Variety – Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Adam Lambert Among Stars Lined Up for Elvis ’68 Tribute (EXCLUSIVE) “…With Ehrlich on board as producer for his own AEG Ehrlich Ventures, the longtime Grammy guru leaned on his years of experience to match the right performer with the right song and come up with well-curated collaborations…Other highlights from the two-night taping included Shawn Mendes’ take on “Hound Dog,” which prompted a laughing Mike Stoller — seated in the studio audience — to utter his famous refrain, “I always preferred Big Mama Thornton,” and Adam Lambert’s cover of “Blue Suede Shoes,” for which he paid homage to the Carl Perkins-penned original by sporting a pair. Says Lambert: “What was I supposed to wear? Red ones? Elvis defined pop culture in the ’50s with his voice, style and swagger. He was one of the first icons I ever listened to, so to take the stage during this anniversary tribute feels like a big honor.””

Inquirer – A rockin’ chat with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor before the Globes “…we feel it’s an honest portrayal. It’s not a documentary. And this has become the biggest biopic of all time, which is incredible. The reason is that it actually does address the inner self of the man it portrays. It portrays his dreams, passion, strength and his vulnerabilities, in a very honest way, which connects with people…Roger and I were ready to leave it after we lost Freddie. But then, you realize that there are people out there who want to hear Queen and want to see it live. And you find someone like Adam Lambert. I call him “the gift from God.””

Forbes – Queen’s Greatest Legacy: Shaping The Last Two Decades Of Pop And Rock Music “…Certainly, even before Bohemian Rhapsody the legend of Mercury had grown and grown. And the successful touring Queen does with Adam Lambert keeps the music out there. But when it comes down to it Queen has remained vibrant and popular for the past 40 plus years for the same reason all music does, the songs….”
