Billboard – Queer Necessities: Billboard Pride’s August Playlist  “Adam Lambert is throwing his middle fingers up with an empowering new single called “Two Fux.” This melodic kiss-off is equal parts grown and gritty as Adam lays down his simple truth: “I only trust my tarot cards/ Pink flamingos in my yard/ People think that I’m from Mars/ whatever,” he declares over the intricate, electro-pop production. A real winner to add to his already impressive discography.”

Digital Journal – Review: Adam Lambert and Queen irresistible at New York’s Barclays Center “Overall, Adam Lambert’s goal was to bring these classic rock songs to life with Queen, and it is safe to say that not only did he accomplish that difficult task, but he excelled in it. Besides, he proved to be a big fan of Queen himself, with a “really expensive seat” on the stage level, where he rightfully belongs. He sounded incredible, and the stage deserved to be his tonight, and every night they are on tour. Lambert is a true song stylist that would have made Freddie Mercury proud. Brian May and Roger Taylor were guitar and drum masters in their own right. Their live show at the Barclays Center was simply irresistible.”

MetroWeekly – Queen + Adam Lambert adds up to an electrifying night at the Verizon Center “Only late in the set, with an emotionally piercing “Who Wants to Live Forever,” did Lambert take on a song with the utmost authority, seizing a sense of ownership that he carried through the last encore of “We Are the Champions.”

Kings County Politics – Queen Draws Roars of Approval at Barclays Center “In the course of their two-hour concert, the smart and sexually frank band leader Adam Lambert, a major figure in pop, sang along through Queen’s greatest tunes showing off that he can rasp, whether in a tenor or falsetto, any breakneck riffs.”

The Z-Review – Concert Review: Queen + Adam Lambert at Barclays Center, Brooklyn “Lambert seems both cognizant of how lucky he is to be fronting this band, but not intimidated by the task. He sings the songs like he’s been singing along to the records for his entire life, but he doesn’t imitate Mercury – he has a style all his own, both completely original yet a fitting tribute. It’s a delicate balance to strike, and he nailed it.”

Tennessean – Queen + Adam Lambert rock Nashville — and celebrate Freddie Mercury “Lambert doesn’t try to emulate Mercury, and that’s for everyone’s benefit. He’s also clearly found a real rapport with his veteran bandmates. You see it when he’s locking eyes and trading vocals with Taylor on “Under Pressure,” or bounding down the catwalk (shaped like a guitar neck) with May during one of his epic solos.”

The Observer (NJ) – Queen and Adam Lambert — they rocked me “Lambert commanded the stage as if  he and Queen had been playing together since Queen’s inception. You could definitely see the camaraderie amongst the band. And Queen’s background vocals were impeccable, one of the few rock bands that have excellent background vocals.”

My 2 cents: Despite no Mercury, Queen show still a good time “He did not apologize for his place with the band, but he said he was thankful to sing the songs that meant so much to him. Lambert has a superhuman range custom-built to handle songs that feature notes that peak several lines above the musical staff.”

Nashville Scene- Queen + Adam Lambert Have a Ball at Bridgestone Arena “If anyone walked in doubting that Lambert could handle Mercury’s vocal gymnastics, he stuck landing after landing to prove them wrong, taking on everything from indelible mega-hits — “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “Under Pressure” (with Taylor handling David Bowie’s part) and “I Want To Break Free” — to catalog classics like “Stone Cold Crazy” to a breathtaking rendition of the power ballad “Who Wants to Live Forever” (because if there’s anything a power ballad should be, it’s breathtaking).”

WOBM – Concert Review – Queen + Adam Lambert “While there will never be another composer, musician, and performer all in one like Freddie Mercury, I got to see something that I truly never thought I would – one of the greatest bands in rock with a singer who could truly do justice to the genius who set the bar so impossibly high.”

From Boston, holy mother…

Goodbye Frank! Hope to see you again on the next leg of QAL tour in a couple of months. I’ve grown fond of you. Nice smile !…though you look worried most times. Perhaps being your debut on QAL, you were apprehensive.

Hi Pharaoh ! Nice to see you back on the site; I can talk silly things with you again. lol! You look radiant…what did Grandpa Eber feed you with? Perhaps the fresh air and activities at the summer camp did the trick too.

Helloo Lam-My! Yea, I thoroughly enjoyed my summer with Grand Eber. Well, looking forward to going home to Daddy, my first love. He’ll probably greet me with: Pharaoh, hi-i ! Ooooeeh! And so the circle of life continues on Runyon mountain…

p/s Brian’s guitar play does “make my brain perceive space ” as pointed out by Dan Tracy, above.
I’ve often inferred this in my poems/comments as Brian’s ‘cosmic guitar’.

Hi Lam-My! ..Yes, I was so loved and well-fed
But when my head touched Daddy’s bed
I knew I was back on my Runyon homestead
