CHINA AND HONG KONG
First-hand fan report
Have now seen the current Asian show twice. First in Shanghai where I felt like I was watching an Olympic event -was literally astonished at the perfection. One glory note followed by another and another non stop. And recall in the past when you always knew he was going to go for a big note because he would pause briefly to get in position so to speak and then deliver? Well now, he just dives right into it. Each note deeper and richer then the next. I could not believe it !
Then last night in Hong Kong. Exactly the same thing! Only this time, where I was situated right at the tip of the catwalk, I got to see him very close for whole portions of several songs. Could really see into his eyes, expression – sort of reading his level of concentration and composure. Not only was he completely at ease, but the almost effortlessness of his flawless vocal performance I felt is what has now allowed him to dig into the emotion and feeling of the songs with almost an air of abandonment – breaking out into improvisations, keeping the rest of the band in tune, following his lead – so the whole effect is perfectly synchronized but with a new level of spontaneity keeping it so fresh! In the past, for me, when the performance was “perfect” it sometimes had a quality of being a bit sterile or mechanical. Now, that is gone. I no longer found myself hanging on and wondering if he would deliver ” the big note”. He just does. Every time. Relax, smile, enjoy the show and be so happy and proud of him nothing else matters. He has mastered his destiny

ET Online – EXCLUSIVE: Adam Lambert Channels Meat Loaf Behind the Scenes of the ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ TV Remake. (VIDEO) “Adam Lambert is taking over for Meat Loaf in Fox’s TV reimagining of the 1975 cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and ET experienced all the Transylvania madness during a visit to the set! Lambert dons a punk Elvis/zombie look for the role of Eddie in the remake, jumping off stages and singing “Hot Patootie.”
South China Morning Post – Review: Queen + Adam Lambert still reigns in vintage rock. Freddie Mercury would be proud “Even though the band is now styled Queen + Adam Lambert, underlining the idea that no one is trying to replace Mercury, you can’t help being a bit nervous for singer Lambert. While he’s largely faithful to the original vocal phrasing, he wisely doesn’t try to imitate the great man, and possesses a winning, natural stage presence, a humorous theatricality, a nice line in audience banter and an enjoyable camp playfulness all of his own, the latter amped up to the max for a fan-fluttering, throne-occupyingKiller Queen. And Lambert really does have the most staggering set of pipes, particularly evident during an eerily perfect rendition of Who Wants to Live Forever, effortlessly hitting high notes that even Mercury habitually left alone live.”
Smart Shanghai – THE QUEEN CONCERT WAS MOST EXCELLENT “Holy damn that Adam Lambert guy can sing. You’d be hard pressed to find bigger shoes to fill in the rock world — like how are you going to match Freddie Mercury, right? — but Lambert probably came as close as any other mortal probably could have. I don’t think he left anyone disappointed in Shanghai with his performance, which reached Mariah Carey levels of pyrotechnics for his renditions of “Somebody to Love” and “Who Wants to Live Forever”. Nothing but love, love, love coming his way from the nearly sold out crowd. Indeed, it seemed like a good portion of them were there to see him, more familiar with the American Idol star than a band who’s career was basically over when Freddie Mercury died way back in 1991. “
“On a previous visit here for The Original High tour last August, the For Your Entertainment singer seems to have been close to well-known Sydney party boy Oliver Barry on several occasions.
The unlikely duo were snapped together several times, with social media images of them lying in bed while taking a selfie and posing together.
Described as the “captain” of a ratpack of young gay men in the eastern suburbs, Barry’s notoriety rose earlier this year when a photo of him partying with Ian Thorpe was printed on the front page of The Daily Telegraph.”
SUPER BOWL CONTENDER?
4. Gaga bring back You and I. And Adam Lambert.
Yes, the song is from 2011, and she already had a memorable cross-dressing MTV Video Music Awards performance of the hit, where she brought out Queen’s Brian May. But this time, she should bring out the other surviving members of Queen, plus Adam Lambert. Sure, she’s already joined Lambert onstage, but that was in Sydney, and they love each other.”
How exciting! The first @rockyhorrorfox billboard has been spotted in LA. Don't forget to watch #RockyHorror only on Fox Oct 20. May I recommend watching with friends and family, a #RockyHorrorPictureShow viewing party perhaps. Rocky is best consumed with friends. #letsdothetimewarpagain #dontdreamitbeit
