Adam Lambert Update – August 29-Sept. 5, 2016
HE’S A WORK OF ART
Get it here.
Queen and Adam Lambert Fans Unite To Raise Funds and Awareness for the Mercury Phoenix Trust “day held every year on Freddie’s birthday (September 5th) in order to help fight AIDS worldwide. On this day people are encouraged to celebrate the life of Freddie Mercury by bringing people together to dress as Freddie in order to raise awareness and funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Although there is a day, people are encouraged to hold their own Freddie For A Day on any day of the year.
To support the Freddie For A Day project, Adam Lambert posted a video for something he calls the 7070 Campaign in order to help, while adding a bit of humor to the clip in order to lighten up the mood. He wants to know, can you raise 70 pounds, dollars, euros or yen in the lead up to Freddie’s 70th birthday on September 5th?”
In order to help spread this message, an anonymous group of Queen and Adam Lambert fans listened to what Adam said and took charge by creating a Just Giving page to help reach the 7070 Campaign donation goal. You can spread the word about donating using the hashtags #FFAD70, #7070, and #QueenAndAdamLambertFans7070!

Time Out Hong Kong – Interview: Adam Lambert, Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen “Q: But now he’s here for the first time with Queen. What’s Adam adding to the band since the sad death of Freddie in 1991?
M: The thing is he’s not Freddie. He doesn’t need to be Freddie. Not in any sense is Freddie imitated. Adam has an extraordinary instrument – the most wonderful instrument you could possibly find in this world, you know. There’s no dispute in that. He also has an ability with the audience. He has a natural way with the crowd. He is an entertainer.
T: He has a lot of things in common with Freddie Mercury. He has an incredible sense of humour, which is very important, and he has an incredible vocal range. Those two things really make him perfectly fitted for Queen. Brian and I didn’t expect to still be working under the name Queen but this is our fourth or fifth tour [with Lambert] and we’ve found ourselves absolutely loving it. “
From here, are there any plans to go into the studio together to make a new Queen album?
T: I think that we should, actually. I don’t know why we haven’t got around to it. Of course, Adam does have a fairly busy career on his own but I think we should. But I don’t think people should expect radically groundbreaking things. But we could make brilliant music with Adam. We should do.
Paula Coots – “When it’s good, it’s really good, when it’s bad…I go to pieces” “I’m actually going to say something about writing, but first this message from the land of The Diamond Dogs…Adam Lambert doesn’t have this album in a frame for nothing.”
