Adam Lambert Update: Dec. 28, 2015-January 2, 2016
YEAR’S BEST LISTS
Three years after his excellent dance-pop sophomore effort Trespassing and fresh off a run as the lead singer of Queen, American Idol alum Adam Lambert returned on a high note — in every sense — with his house- and funk-inflected album The Original High. The singer, whose vocals are as massive as his performances, teamed up with elite pop producers Max Martin and Shellback on the LP and got assists from “Talking Body” singer and newcomer Tove Lo as well as Queen’s Brian May along the way. Led by singles “Ghost Town” and “Another Lonely Night,” Lambert achieved a balance of club fun with raw emotion on the solid album.

Sirius XM – Year-End Special – The Top 45 Songs Of 2015 “7. Adam Lambert – Ghost Town – I was anxiously waiting for this song to be released because I knew it would be amazing, which it was. This song has a really catchy and that whistle that immediately got me hooked was very hard to turn down. I had my doubts about this song hitting mainstream radio and I’m so glad it did. It lasted quite a while on Hits 1, so I’m impressed. Adam Lambert never disappoints. His debut album,For You Entertainment, was really good. I liked his sophomore album, Trespassing, as well. And now I really like his newest album, The Original High, which features this song and new single, Another Lonely Night. Overall, I really do love this song. I’m sure a lot of you knew that this song had to be in this list if you knew how much I love the song.”

RINGING IN THE NEW
Is that a gay hijab? Oh Adam, tryin’ not to provoke, or just tryin’ to get comfortable in the tropical heat? More importantly, is this a taste of the TOH tour? New medleys, choreography, etc. What do you think?
New Nation (50% real news) – Entire S’pore turned gay after watching Adam Lambert perform on Celebrate 2016 countdown show:
The entire nation of Singapore turned gay on Dec. 31, 2015, mere minutes before the arrival of the new 2016 year.
This after Singaporeans from all walks of life watched renowned American gay singer Adam Lambert perform live for the Celebrate 2016 countdown show, which was broadcast on national television.
As a result of witnessing the event, all Singaporeans have become gay immediately.
One Singaporean, Tong Xing Lian, said he was half-expecting this to happen, but wasn’t sure if it would really come to pass: “I should have heeded the warning of highly religious Singaporeans when they warned about the effects of watching Adam Lambert perform in public.”
“Now I am completely, utterly gay, there is simply no turning back to my straight ways, having been convinced the gay way is the only way.”
Singaporeans who witnessed the transformation of their own sexual orientation attributed the changes to Adam Lambert’s dress sense and dance moves.
One other local, Wei Tua, said: “Adam Lambert was at his most provocative this evening. He was decked out in a top that was as large as a bedsheet, baggy pants and slippers.”
“These are the hallmarks of a provocative liberal gay agitator. This was exactly what the highly religious Singaporeans warned us about.”
“We have no choice but to live with our gay identity as a nation from now on.”

PRESS AND BLOG PICKS
SPIN OR BIN MUSIC – Controversies, Fighting Homophobia And Life In 2015: Adam Lambert Reels Us Into His World! “Adam Lambert is genuinely a rare find in the gigantic American music industry that changes its whims faster than the Kardashians can change their outfits. Unsurprisingly, Adam’s larger than life personality has always stayed relevant no matter what. He’s humble, more grounded and he actually takes the public’s concerns about him seriously without coming across as too politically correct or simply pandering to the crowd’s (or should I say, national) interests. He has stayed true to being Adam Lambert, come hell or high water. Some even say his real agenda is motivated by unorthodox reasons. Yes, those people were right – he just wants to use his music to take over the world and brainwash all of our minds. I cannot believe that his fans ultimately became better people filled with kindness and acceptance. How terrifying is that?…”
SGYouth The original highs of Adam Lambert “Adam said: “I’m flattered that people actually care so much (about the performances)”. In case you’re wondering, Adam works very carefully with TV producers for all the programmes, and no changes were made to his preparations for the show despite the petition. “
Straits Times – Adam Lambert treats Marina Bay crowd to extended New Year show “Mediacorp’s Celebrate 2016 countdown show on New Year’s Eve saw over 10,000 people in attendance as an eight-minute-long fireworks spectacular filled the night sky…Decked out in tropics-friendly sandals and sporting perfectly coiffed hair, 33-year-old Lambert peppered his set with hit songs Ghost Town and Lonely Night before the live countdown portion of the show.”
The New Paper – No scandal but Adam Lambert electrifies with countdown concert “Technician Louis Quek, 42, who was there with his wife and 10-year-old son, told The New Paper: “I thought Adam Lambert was a star and put on a good show befitting a countdown event like this. I don’t think he is a bad influence because of his personal choices, which we should respect, and I was sure he would tone down his act for tonight. My family enjoyed it very much.”
