Yahoo – Watch Adam Lambert Perform ‘Ghost Town’ With Queen for the First Time Lindsey Parker: “It was epic, of course. But it was also unexpected. This was “Ghost Town” as it’d never been heard before. Normally a club banger with a chilled-out ‘90s house vibe, with Queen the song was transformed into an audacious ’70s rock anthem, with Brian May’s distinctively fiery guitar licks replacing the familiar whistling hook. The result fit right in with Queen’s Rock in Rio setlist, in between the classics “Save Me” and “Who Wants to Live Forever.””

Rolling Stone – Queen, Adam Lambert Turn ‘Ghost Town’ Into Headbangers Ball “Despite the vast differences between the original and live version, the new arrangement felt neither forced nor awkward. Lambert’s vocals soared and May delivered a characteristically jaw-dropping solo, proving “Ghost Town” to be as apt an anthem for the club kids as the headbangers.”

MyBadassAlterEgo  – QAL – The Return: Sao Paulo “It completely exceeded expectations. Brian, Roger and Adam had only a few days to rehearse but everything sounded as tight as ever.  Queen have always worked on the premise of trying to get their live performances as perfect as possible; sound, lights, pyrotechnics – it all has to be just right and they have always put a lot of energy into putting on a great show for their audience. “Too much is never enough” applies at all times.”

What just happened? Who am I? Where and I? Is this even real? That was the reaction of ALL the Brazilians at the concert today. All of them. They did not know what hit them. Their mouths were just open. They look dizzy, confused, and so fucking happy. Many people I never met came to me and just hugged me. “Best concert of my life!” “Concert of a life time!” There were people hugging. They were laughing. They were crying. And they were absolutely, completely, totally in love in Adam. They cheered at every little gesture, every campy eye roll, every amazing high note that came out of his mouth. In the end, when Brian and Roger saluted the audience, they screamed like crazy. But when Adam did it, the place just exploded. I mean it. Adam conquered São Paulo today. And, on Friday, he will conquer Brazil. And maybe the world. Adam was on fire, on point, happiest than ever, sexier than ever, campier than ever, funnier than ever. I guess he could feel the love. He fed of the love. And Brian and Roger looked like kids on a Star Wars theme park. They would look at Adam and shake their heads. And then they would just look at the audience and smile with tears in their eyes, because it was just too much.
