COUNTDOWN TO APRIL 21
And teased us with lyrics…
ADAM GOES FRACTAL…
“DARLING” !!!
AND THE BEAT GOES ON…
Official Charts – Adam Lambert makes triumphant return with new song Ghost Town: First listen review “The singer returns with a bonkers track that forces you to sit up and take notice…The song itself opens with a dramatic guitar strums that will inevitably be compared to Avicii’s Hey Brother. “I tried to believe in Elvis and James Dean but Hollywood sold out” he sings, before the whole things drops away and morphs into a chorus that is short on lyrics but big on hooks. “Now I know my heart is a Ghost Town” he declares over a spacious house beat and – crucially – a ludicrously catchy whistle that immediately lodges itself in the brain…Crucially, Ghost Town is the kind of song that forces you to sit up and take notice which, without a major UK hit to his name yet, is exactly what Adam Lambert needs right now.”

PRESS AND BLOG PICKS
Broken Records – Love Adam? Check Out the Teaser of Adam Lambert’s new single “Ghost Town” “Many radio stations who got to listen to the full song early are already loving it, exclaiming that it’s going to be the hit of the summer.
“Just heard New @AdamLambert… You’re Gonna Be Obsessed.. #GhostTown #AdamLambert #MaxMartin,” said Melony Torres from D.C.’s Radio 107.3 on Twitter.
“And getting a little listen to some of @adamlambert’s new stuff… one word #WOW,” said Maxwell from Z100 New York on Twitter. He continued in another tweet saying, “The tempo is awesome, his vocals… as strong as ever, amazing pop record.”
“Today is seriously NUTS! We just heard the new @adamlambert and it’s crazy good! #GhostTown,” said Q102 Philly on Twitter.”
MyBadassAlterEgo – Brian, Roger and the QAL Bromance. “…And Brian? I really think he has fallen in love with Adam’s voice (and I think Adam reciprocates with his love of Brian’s talent). As a musician, you can feel the most intense love for someone’s artistry, and it goes beyond gender, sexuality or age gaps. You just love that voice, or that violin sound, or that guitar – and you therefore love the person as well. It defies explanation unless you’ve felt it yourself…Adam and Brian have incredible musical feeling and affinity for each other, as we saw in their almost (I hesitate to use the word, but…) sexual riffing in the QAL gigs. They absolutely must create some original music together to commemorate it.”
AdamInspired – Fantastic new “meta fan site” created by @noskerdycat that covers the vast universe of Adam Lambert fan blogs, websites and other resources. We love the call to sign up to be a “Mentorbert” for new fans. We are very honored to receive such a laudatory (and well-informed!) review of On the Meaning of Adam Lambert. Thank you kind reviewer. Read it here.
PressParty – Nile Rodgers on new Adam Lambert album: ‘He’s with the biggest producer in the world’ “When asked if has worked with the US vocalist on his new album, the Chic guitarist said: “Will I be working on Adam’s new album? I don’t think so…”He’s with the biggest producer in the world right now.””
TV Insider – Who Should Play Frank-N-Furter in Fox’s Rocky Horror Reboot? “Fire up the pitchfork ray gun and get ready to do the time warp. Again. TV Insider (along with two other outlets) broke the news first on Friday that Fox is developing a 40th anniversary remake ofThe Rocky Horror Picture Show, tentatively and so cleverly entitled The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event. Of course, there’s the dreamer’s guide to who could fill Tim Curry’s famous fishnets as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the sweet transvestite from Transylvania…Adam Lambert: How Fox hasn’t done a musical filled with former American Idol standouts is as baffling to us as the fact that Lambert isn’t a bigger star than he is. The pipes on this guy alone could score him this gig, but then you throw in his unapologetically theatrical style and it just seems like a custom fit, right?”
Fascinating interview in Monitor with Adam’s sound engineer, which helps us to understand why Adam fiddles with his in-ear mics so much!! Here’s a more detailed description from August 2014: Queen Tour Rocks Arenas – Old Style

Fireflies – Tribute to Adam Lambert and Brian May – by blindrabbitpress
Katy Perry, Britney Spears + Adam Lambert at Famed Karaoke Bar |[VIDEO] “In a very vintage-looking greatest hits reel posted to the locale’s YouTube page, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert and even more stars belt out other people’s (and sometimes their own) hits on the bar’s stage. You won’t recognize Britney in a mop wig belting out a Madonna tune with a group of friends until she busts out her signature dance moves. Katy takes on Mariah Carey’s holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in a furry Santa hat, and Adam really shows off those perfect-for-classic-rock pipes around the 5:30 mark.”

Love, love, love your blog. Timely, delicious, update info on all things Adam!
I like the misted up picture of Adam Killer Queen; the misty lighting effect is transcending, an ethereal quality like Adam’s voice/singing.
Who wrote the Monitor World Article?
As the editorialized sentence starting with – Adam is no Freddie and ending with … and he makes no attempts to be so… has always raised the hair on my senitivity scale…
While, I think, I understand the non-negative point that was attempting to be made, I yearn for the days when a much preferred ending that editorial sentence might have ended with a few addition complimentary words, such as… because HE IS Adam Lambert and… No Adam Lambert – no show – no tour – no mointor job to which to write of my issues/challenges in meeting Adam’s preferred sound needs and requirements. (A case in point the reasoning behind one canceled show; Adam.)
Did I miss a hidden Adam compliment buried within the write up that inferred the engineer was challenged to a point, visa vie, his sound engineering job skills were improved?
I.LOVE.THIS.BLOG.PERIOD.
So Gary Stokes monitors Adam’s singing/sound on stage live…well, he knows what he’s doing to the minutest details. Actually what he is doing, monitoring the concert sounds, is a highly crucial component because Adam may sing his best but the sound monitoring can bring it out to its maximum effect, like his powerful long high notes or his deep sensual tenor. Something he said strikes me…that if the sound remains static and not monitored accordingly, it sounds the same whole night. I know exactly what that is in a real live situation; felt disillusioned. The way Gary does the Queen and Adam sounds in concert live, is magnifique.
At the point where Adam leaves off his high-powered note as in The Show Must Go On…Brian simply slides in and takes it further, sending it around the arena with his cosmic guitar shrill in flawless transition. Brian and Adam read each other with pinpoint precision; here too , the sound monitoring has to be exactly right.
