MICHAEL ORLAND is currently the Pianist, Arranger and Associate Musical Director for the hit FOX-TV series AMERICAN IDOL.  We “discovered” Michael behind the scenes when Adam thanked him after his striking and memorable performance of “If I Can’t Have You” on the Top 7 episode. Today he is in New York City working with Adam, who is serving as guest judge for the most recent crop of hopeful contestants.

To mark the occasion, we are re-airing one of our interviews with Michael. We’ll ask Michael how it felt to be publicly thanked by Adam. What other highlights from all his years at Idol does Michael celebrate?

But there’s a lot more to this multi-talented musician than working with Idol contestants.  He’s collaborated with many legends and soon-to-be legends in the entertainment industry.

The chat room will be open, so jump in to schmooze and party with fellow fans!

I must say that Orland is looking great! I hardly recognized him! He was so supportive of Adam when he was on Idol (I hear)!
