CamelClutchBlog – QUEEN and Adam Lambert Rock Chicago’s United Center – “For those who are skeptical about singer Adam Lambert singing classic songs that were sung by, and were written( many of them) by the late, great Freddie Mercury, well, Lambert did a spectacular job. Lambert is NOT Freddie Mercury. No one is. However, Lambert sang those songs with power, and with such grace. “Who Wants To Live Forever” was outstanding. It gave me goosebumps. Lambert’s duet with Roger Taylor on “Under Pressure” was incredible. Lambert was an awesome showman. I loved how charming he was. His stage mannerisms were terrific. I loved his singing on a purple couch, and pretended to drink champagne. I also admired Lambert’s professionalism when his microphone cut out completely during the rousing opener, “No I’m Here.” He didn’t lose control, he just kept on going, until he got a working microphone. He certainly acted like he’s been there before.”
Fashionland – MFL EXCLUSIVE: Everything You Wanted To Know About Adam Lambert’s “Queen + Adam Lambert” Tour Costumes – “The tour wardrobe is a fusion of some of Adam’s signature pieces with new, mostly custom and customized ones, and here is the MFL EXCLUSIVE special I promised you – the full fashion credits behind his five costume changes.” Fantastic!!!
Click Music – Dear Queen and Adam Lambert: it’s time to start work on a new album – “You only need to look at their Q+AL tour to see that this makes perfect sense. Adam has helped to ignite the same spark that Freddie and John once did. They’re re-energised for their music in a way they haven’t been for years. It’s not just about the passion either; Adam’s style is much more in keeping with the Queen that so many fell in love with. He brings all the pomp, theatricality and confidence that defined the best parts of their career. He makes Queen something new and exciting; he makes the band fun again without making it a farce.”
