Belfast Telegraph – Avicii: I love Lambert’s voice – “Avicii revealed Adam’s vocals were perfect for the track, saying: “I really fell in love with his voice. He just captured something on that first take.” Nile added: “I need someone to do a lead vocal so I call Adam Lambert.”  The song has been made available to stream online in full, ahead of the album’s release on September 17.”

WRR – Avicii’s Debut Album ‘True’ Impresses On All Levels [Review] – “The funky Rodgers inspired rhythm pulsates through the track, but it’s not what defines “Lay Me Down”. It’s Lambert’s glam rock sound loaded with attitude that steals the song away. Lambert captures your attention early and refuses to let go. It doesn’t matter how similar the melody may be compared to “Wake Me Up”, this track is guaranteed to be win Tim Bergling and company a Grammy.

Dancing Astronaut – ‘True’: Avicii’s brave and unbounded debut fortifies dance music’s win column [Album Review] – “Arguably the most finely tuned record on True, “Lay Me Down” has Rodgers summoning his disco dominating days with a Chic-esque bassline and Adam Lambert providing timeless vocals in the vein of some of the greatest singers to lace the genre’s hits during the booming 70s. Avicii connects the dots with his gifted sense for octave, finding the perfect home for his creative aesthetic. He may not have won a Grammy for “Levels,” but “Lay Me Down” has a good shot at earning a golden gramophone as it pays homage to Nile Rodgers’ testament: “Tim will do stuff that, honestly, I would’ve never thought of.” Coming from a disco legend and recent Daft Punk collaborator, Nile aims to shape another generation of music, and “Lay Me Down” is a step forward even following “Lose Yourself To Dance.””

MJ’s Big Blog – Glee Season 5: Adam Lambert Song Spoilers! (UPDATED WITH MAJOR EXCLUSIVE SPOILER!) “I’m hearing from a very good source that Adam Lambert will be playing a drag queen on GLEE…”

Unreality TV – Brian May admits there could be a new Queen album after Adam Lambert performance! – “Since the mid 90s May and Taylor have kept the band’s name in the spotlight and after a tour with singer Paul Rodgers in the late 2000s they have more recently performed with American Idol finalist Adam Lambert. In fact Adam is set to join them on stage once more later this month, when Queen perform at the iHeart Radio music event at Las Vegas. May thinks it could be time after that gig to look at finishing and releasing some never heard before tunes, which were recorded at old studio sessions when Freddie was alive.”

Ragman, thanks for that terrific quote which just about sums it up for me: “I”m torn between spiritual devotion and base lust.” However, when I look at that “Homebody” photo, It’s pure lust.
