April 26, 2012 – Adam Lambert will perform an outdoor concert for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Tickets here.

July 11 and 12, 2012Adam and Queen will be performing at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. Tickets go on sale April 18 (direct link to HMV tickets). Here’s the press release: “Says a band spokesperson, “Queen acted immediately in looking for an alternative venue in an aim to avoid disappointing all those fans who had so desperately looked forward to seeing them at Knebworth. Coming in the lead into the Olympics, most of the venues they first approached were unavailable, being taken as official London Games 2012 venues. As the setting of some of the band’s best remembered concerts, the idea of returning to this historic Hammersmith venue really appealed to them.”

Tickets for Queen + Adam Lambert concerts at HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Wednesday July 11 and Thursday July 12 will first be available on a 24-hour presale to Queen Online subscribers, Queen Fan Club members and Sonisphere ticket holders from 9am on Tuesday April 17. Pre-sale details will be sent on to these communities separately via e-mail.

General sales start Wednesday 18th April at 9am at and through Ticketmaster.

Outside Edge – UK release dates: Adam Lambert single “Never Close Our Eyes” on June 24, album on July 2. ”

“This album’s of a pretty high standard to say the least” – Popjustice

“What we heard was nothing short of brilliant” – Digital Spy

“We’ve not had this good a feeling about an album since we heard an advance copy of 21 by Adele” – MSN”

The song is available for pre-order on Amazon – release date April 17

The production is very different from the snippet we heard previously. What do you think?

ArjanWrites – Listen to Adam Lambert “Never Close Our Eyes” [Single Review] ““Never Close Our Eyes” masterfully combines Lambert’s powerhouse vocals with Mars’ knack for writing catchy pop melodies and Dr Luke’s crisp production effort. Mixed to perfection and produced to a tee, the track is a flaming pop romp that will surely rule top forty radio all summer long. What’s particularly compelling about this new Lambert smasher is that Dr Luke’s energetic production stylings don’t compete with the strength of Lambert’s performance. In fact, Lambert’s rock vocals add a gritty dimension to Luke’s glossy soundboard work that fit the song’s narrative perfectly.

EQ – Listen to “Never Close Our Eyes” by Adam Lambert “”Never Close Our Eyes” is without a doubt one of my favorite tracks from the new album and it has “summer anthem” written ALL over it! This song perfectly showcases Adam’s powerhouse vocals and has a beat that will drag you out onto the dance floor and keep you there all night.”

USA Today – Adam Lambert releases Bruno Mars tune as new single “The track, which will appear on Adam’s Trespassingalbum, will be available on iTunes starting April 17, but fans can hear it now on Adam’s SoundCloud page.”

Ryan Seacrest – Listen To Adam Lambert’s ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ [AUDIO] “The 30-year-old heartthrob joined forces with producer Dr. Luke and was co-wrote the tune with one of our favorites, Bruno Mars. The dance-pop ballad starts off heavenly with soft piano in the background before the synthesizer kicks in.”

MTV – New Song: Adam Lambert, ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ “Slated to appear on Adam’s forthcoming album Trespassing (due out May 15), “Never Close Our Eyes” was written and produced by Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke, which pretty much guarantees it’s going to No. 1 any minute now. That, and the fact that Adam’s vocals on this record are RIDIC.”

Idolator – Adam Lambert’s “Never Close Our Eyes”: Listen “First of all, we were sold on the hand claps alone. (We’ve always had a weak spot for them, you see.) And while the song boasts the slickest pop production since “Moves Like Jagger”, the selling point is, as usual, Adam’s angelic rocker vocals, which soar above and loop through the melody with ease.”

HitFix – Listen: Adam Lambert’s new single, ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ “The mid-tempo love song, written and produced by Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke, has a grand, anthemic feel and is much stronger than first single, “Better Than I Know Myself.” The electro-pop feel sounds a little dated (even though we do it’s all the rage right now and it is part of Lambert’s sound), but we’d love to hear a remix that doesn’t have that.” – Adam Lambert announces ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ as second single from ‘Trespassing’: Is this a better direction for him? “The album’s first officially released cut, “Better Than I Know Myself,” a melancholy pop-rock track that felt like a rejected Pink demo, failed to catch on with listeners and never muscled its way up the charts (it topped out at number 76 on the Billboard Hot 100). “Never Close Our Eyes,” on the other hand, is lot more Glambert than Blandbert, and for that, we are thankful.” Well, this post generated a lot of commentary…

Hot 99.5 FANDIMONIUM: ADAM LAMBERT Fans… Uncensored! Toby Knapp invited our friend Bellina to contribute this post! “It’s finally 2012 and there is so much happening with Adam Lambert. The biggest news is the release of his second album “Trespassing” which is dropping May 15th. We have been waiting for this album ever so patiently (it’s been really hard I tell you)! I had the pleasure of meeting Adam recently at an intimate acoustic performance at the Hot 99.5 studios. He was very sweet and charming, intelligent and of course GORGEOUS! He performed his new single “Better Than I Know Myself”  and an older favorite “Whataya Want From Me”. His voice was simply beautiful. By the way the “Better Than I Know Myself” video has gotten over 5,250,000 views. It’s NUTS!!

Russian Cosmo – Translation posted by @BertFolieadeux. “I work almost 24 hrs a day. In order to remain current in today’s music industry, one MUST work very hard! Imagine – I jump out of bed early every morning and work till late at night: lots of interviews, video shoots, recordings… But it is a happy place because I am doing what I love…I am living my dream and it’s a miracle.” Plus, he keeps horseradish sauce in his fridge!

I think this NCOE is the first production I hear ADAM’s pure voice! But I still wish there’s less of the electro pop. But with this dance beats, NCOE is quite good.
