Jessi Kimsey, rest in peace

February 10, 2011

Tragic news this morning from almondglaze: “Hate to bring sad news on an epic day, but this was a sad Adam morning in Atlanta on Q100. The little sick girl that Adam called, Jessie, passed away Tuesday. They talked about her and Adam a long time this morning on the Bert Show. They talked about what a huge fan of Adam’s she was. They played her and her sister singing IIHY again. They played Adam’s phone message to her and talked about how she immediately perked up and what a great and sweet person he was. They announced that she passed away listening to Adam’s music. I lost it. So one of the women suggested that they play one of Adam’s songs in her memory. They took some calls and one person said they needed to hurry up and just play Adam’s song. So they played IIHY and then right behind it played her and her sister singing it again. So, so emotional.”

Jessi Kimsey, Q100

Here is the Bert Show episode about Adam’s phone message to Jessi: “Bert’s Big Adventure Child Jessi Gets A Surprise From Adam Lambert.” On February 10, the Bert Show aired their tribute to Jessi:

We Remember Bert’s Big Adventure Child Jessi Kimsey

If you would like to send flowers or make a donation, the family respectfully requests that flowers be sent to:  Almon Funeral Home, 548 Newnan, GA 30117; 770-832-7056 or a donation can be made in Jessi’s name to www.BertsBigAdventure.org.

Jessi’s happy face and voice will live on in the hearts of Adam’s fans everywhere.

Through tears, we send our sympathy to Jessi’s mom and the rest of her family and friends. Jessi’s mom reads our blog. We invite you to share your thoughts here, and we will make sure she sees them. Thank you.

My heart felt condolences to Jessie’s family, I am in tears!
•Peace, prayers, blessings, love & light always.
•What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Sweet Jessie, you may have flown this world but not without touching many hearts and souls including Adam’s, and not least mine (I listened to the Bert Show – I’m in tears). Prayers for you and condolences to all the family.

This is so terribly sad; my deepest sympathies & condolences to the entire family and may their memories sustain them through the difficult days ahead. It is unfortunate that it takes something like this to put all else in perspective and show us what is truly important. Adam is going to be devastated by this news, as he knew what a devout fan Jessi was of his. People like Jessi don’t die; they luve on in the hearts of everyone they touched.

I am so very sorry; there is no greater loss than that of a child. Thank you for sharing a bit of your Jessi’s sweet spirit (and that of her wonderful sister!) with all of us. You have made us all richer for knowing her. Our prayers are with you all today and always.

My deepest sympathy to Jessi’s family and friends. Think of her in heaven, freed of her Earthly chains, dancing and singing to Adam’s songs. How happy she must be! Know that she is with you always, and will be watching over you until you are reunited.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of Jessie. At least she passed in peace listening to the music she loved the most. My heartfelt sorrow goes out to Jessies family.

What a bright little spirit she is. Mom, you did everything to bring her some fun, belonging, and, of course, medical care to her. That’s the best you could do. Love to your family.

Thank you. I still feel like I didn’t do enough, but I guess this is one of those things that a Mom will always feel when she loses a child. 😦

So very sad, such a sweet child. She is one of Adam’s Angels, a child who saw good and kindness and love, recognized it in Adam and had it returned. I’m sure it brought her, and her family joy.
All the good thoughts of Adam nation go to her family.

My heart is sad and the tears keep coming as I type this. Jessi’s story touched me deeply when I heard about it. The thoughts and prayers of Adam’s countless fans are with your sweet family as we have all experienced a loss in our lives with one of our littlest Glamberts leaving us far too soon. How comforting to know that Jessi left this world doing what she loved most-listening to Adam. She is now one of Adam’s angels, and I am sure she will be watching over him and smiling from Heaven. We share your sorrow and are here to support you however we can. Much love and peace from the Glamily.
