Apparently, “Throw more shade than a cloudy day” is a gay reference. Sam Sparrow says that in the chorus in Shady.

A very moving piece, and why what Adam did is so important : http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/05/23/1093998/-A-Cultural-Milestone-Is-this-a-big-deal-

Oh, and worst. american. idol. finale. EVER.
Will this kid make it through the Idol tour ?

I see big changes in that show next year. Especially in the voting.

      el Kat,
Yeah, I just watched the AI Finale this morning, and it SUCKED. Big time. That’s despite the fact that Rhianna sounded ok for once. I enjoyed Aerosmith, but that’s about all. I thought the two contestants weren’t bad-but unexciting. Not much fun. I had to re-watch Adam’s AI visit from last week.

Isabel, I had to “cleanse my palate” with Adam’s finale! This was really bad. I think everything after Adam was pretty bad though.

And RhiRhi sounded good because she wasn’t singing live!

still her song was the kind of non- song there are way too many of on the radio

          buffy,
I do think you’re right about Rhianna. Her voice sounds so great on the radio, and so sucky in live performances. She had to be lip synching there.

Thanks for sharing that article el Kat. Never heard of that publication. I have been avoiding “comments” due to some crazies, but went ahead and read some of those anyway. It’s kind of funny that so many of the guys shared their sports stories! It seems that men just have to deal with that arena one way or the other. The author got many points across while sharing his own story and I think it is perfect for opening some eyes. And even those of us who are accepting of equal rights, generally need more education. Like Adam always tries to emphasize, “there is no ONE kind of gay”.

That finale did leave a lot to be desired, but I was really happy that Phillip Phillips won; at least he is original and innovative, more so than Jessica, but we all know she will do just fine as the runner-up! I got a kick out of “WGWG” on twitter – white guys with guitars to signify the only people that win AI. Maybe something can be done to prevent the young teenyboppers from voting from now on – they seem to have the voting block that gets only males to win this show.

I think the video of NCOE might be out today. That is what one fan is saying. Anyway, I might
miss a lot of excitement this weekend as tomorrow I am going in for surgery on my retina. Evidently there is a membrane at the back of the retina which is causing blurring plus I have a dead spot in the eye due to glaucoma. So they are going to try and remove the membrane and they put an air bubble in my eye and I have to keep my head down for a day. Personally, I am dreading this surgery. I was a lot more relaxed for the cataract operations. So wish me
luck and say a little prayer.

All the best, Gail. Sounds scary. Think positive, think Adam, and everything will be fine.

Hi, I got this from the comments section of one of the reviews, damn if I know which one, there have been so many, but it was in one of the gay publications . The comment thought it was funny that they got “Werk bitch” and the shady comment into his album. Messages for those in the know …. Which we, obviously, are not. ;-)

Oops, that was supposed to be for Buffy above about the “gay” references in the album.

Gail, you will be in our thoughts. Have you heard of Adamesthezia ? Juneau and I discovered its soothing and healing properties WAY back. Just bring an iPod with Adam for before, during, or after any procedure … Whatever they will allow and you will be better in no time.
Good Luck, we will be waiting for good news !!

Gail, So sorry you have to go through this! I will keep you in my prayers.

I hope your surgery is not too traumatic and you recuperate quickly. So sorry you have to go through it! El Kat is so right about Adamthesia, by the way. I had dental surgery recently and my iPod turned way up drowned out the sound of tooth and bone, and it should be even more effective now with wonderful new music to listen to.

    • May 25, 2012 10:13 am

Hope the surgery goes smoothly and that Adamesthesia helped you manage your anxiety. Sending healing thoughts! xox J

    • May 25, 2012 5:25 pm

Gail, you will be in my thoughts & prayers; you will be fine and you seem to have great recuperative powers! Just keep the ear phones on with Adam’s voice on it; keep singing and just nod your head up & down if you’re asked any questions. Just keep in touch as soon as you can and let us know how everything went!!

    • May 26, 2012 9:00 am

      Gail,
Do you know how long after the operation it will take to recover? Isn’t it pretty short usually? Eye operations must be terrifying – but it is wonderful that technology has come so far with the eyes. Do listen to Adam if at all possible! Please let us know how you are, as soon as you can lift your head up and type! Things will turn out ok.

I will take your advice. I was planning on leaving my ipod at home, but now I will recharge it
    and take it.
Don’t forget to watch Adam on tonight with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens.

  5. May 24, 2012 10:49 pm

Okay, gals. The ipod is charging and Adam was so delicious on Andy’s show tonight. You will
love it. Hope you all taped it. No singing but Adam’s personality shined and he looked
so happy. He was yummy…..It was one half hour of pure joy.

You will be in my thoughts Gail! I plan to take my ipod to a knee surgery in a couple of weeks for some Adamthesia also. Let us know how you are doing!!

      • May 25, 2012 5:29 pm

Hi Pumpkit! Now what’s with your knee – are you having a knee replacement? I know someone who had it done and is just fine – so don’t you fret about anything. Boy, Adam comes in handy when medical procedures are needed! Please let us know how you’re doing!

Pumpkit101 Good luck with the surgery! So many of my friends have had this recently. You will be fine, and able to jump up and down at Adam’s next concert!

When I woke up today and heard about Adam on Andy yesterday, I was so mad at myself for not knowing about it. But when I got up, I saw that my daughter had recorded it for me. Apparently one of her friends called her and told her about it. This is a case where me being so verbal about Adam, really paid off. He was just so wonderful, and I could only imagine how the shows ratings were. They always mention Adam’s fans. I think they are blown away by the response whenever Adam is on a show.

    BEHIND THE SCENES NCOE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • May 25, 2012 8:32 pm

In how many other languages can I possibly say that Adam just looks so damn fine – especially here! I love the sci-fi concept here – this looks really cool and again Adam is very much into this video; I just love his intensity! I would bet any amount of money this video goes to #1 really fast! I must say Adam really keeps his fans on their toes constantly – we need to have our thinking caps on!
