“There he goes my baby walks so slow, sexual tic tac toe” is gender neutral when sung by a man? I need to go back to sex ed!!!!

The EW thing was either totally outdated “journalism” or a ploy to get people stirred up. And so it did. The review of the pop-dance part of the album was actually good. The snark at the ballads was mean. But I think her snark backfired into “gay stereotyping” and bullying. Not good for any magazine.

Damn, if I weren’t on our family summer vacation I would be there !
… then again, would they really miss me, if I made some casseroles in advance, a few dozen cookies, filled the beer cooler …. snuck out the back door , “I’ll be right back, don’t hold dinner ” ;-)

Naw. Nobody would miss a quick trip to London! I am trying to hold my “dying to go” in check and just hope for a great DVD with the quality of the EMAs. IMO, there would not be three sessions without Adam Lambert! One sold out show probably.

Yes, Gail, at least Adam is listed to be on the show tonight.

Someone from the show tweeted that he has taped it (I think yesterday) and was wearing…wait for it….the leopard print with stars shirt…and his other standards. And looked great. But the interview was kind of short. So my dvr is set but I’ll be watching.
Now is there something about a morning show next week?

Very interesting review, ya just never know what song each reviewer will like, but, soooo nice that EVERY reviewer basically loves this album. Adam must be just shivering with excitement and I bet there are some champagne toasts involved.

I agree about Runnin, love that song, right pumpkit ??

he looks like a totally different man, on the couch this time as to last time he was on the show!!! I love how much he is loving that star top! Can’t wait to see it on the TV tomorrow night!!!

My God, he is just adorable! I wonder if we will ever see an interview of Adam, where someone doesn’t ask him about his sexuality? I feel so bad for him, that this comes up all the time, even though he is so gracious about it. I hope the rest of the interview is about the wonderful new album that I can’t stop listening to!

Boy, I’m with you rosemary, although you kind of expect it from Chelsey, but enough already, he just put out the pop album of the year … It’s about the MUSIC people !

I think we just need to accept that Adam will constantly be identified with his sexuality and American Idol. My favorite is Lyndsey Parker, who, although an Idol reporter, does her homework and will focus on the music. Yet she knows the little scoops that fans want!

I didn’t find the subject offensive on Chelsea in view of the President coming out for gays and the fact that the beginning of the program was all about gays, so I think Chelsea and Adam handled it well. She’s a riot and Adam is delicious.

No Gail, I didn’t find Chelsea offensive. Half her show was gay this and that! She is a comedian and was actually very respectful with Adam. She is not a music critic so…..And I appreciated that she (or staff) did homework into what he was actually up to! They actually have great chemistry and could do some great long comedy skits! I was curious as to what he would have said when he started off “If Ryan would have asked me, I would have…….” and then Chelsea interrupted with her joke!
I was just commenting on other comments and in general.

“She’s a riot and Adam is delicious.” So right !
I really like her, raunchy and funny, and yeah, you expected her to go there and I didn’t mind it. I think I need to download one of her books from audible !!
His answers were good and Buffy is right, they have great chemistry … similar personalities I think.
With the president “coming out”, finally, I think the time is perfect for Adam to be who he is, trendy even.
All the stars seem to be in alignment for Adam this year, or should I say planets in Adam’s case, \o/

    ADAM”S TWEETS -
“New Rolling Stone interview prob my most personal yet. What a great chat I had w Jonah! Hope it gives you some insight to my reality. However, to clarify my quote bout the radio station visits. ‘f’d up retail’ part ain’t meeting fans, it’s selling myself to the stations. The best part of those visits is the actual PERFORMING. that’s when I get to connect w you guys in my favorite way- thru music.”

He concluded: “Thank u all for “GETTING IT” :)

I KNEW the minute I read that that he would have some ‘splaining to do ;-) You know, I wasn’t upset at all. Having to go around to all those radio stations, kissing up to all those radio people ( most of whom barely know anything about and have to play the songs that are fed to them by Clear Channel which usually does not include Adam), answer their stupid questions, then stand there for an hour smiling beautifully for a photo while all us straight women, most older than his mother, hug him. cmon, it IS work and it IS kind of F’d up ! But he does know he needs us, and we are the reason he got to make a second album, and he is very grateful for us, and does love us as only a wonderful talented gay man can.

I respect him for saying it because he is just being real. I think it may be a reality check for certain people who have a bit of a warped sense of entitlement. It is PR and work. The fact that he makes it look fun and effortless is just a testament to the man.

    • May 12, 2012 8:30 pm

Several of us have discussed the “smiling beautifully for a photo while all us straight women, most older than his mother, hug him”. Hopefully this new music will bring in a younger crowd or some more cute boys to give him some smiles…but not too many cute boys, since we don’t want our Sauli to worry.
