I saw this pic after reading some of your thoughts and it hit me that Adam seems to (I can only gather from vids and your accounts) that Adam puts as much into a little 10 person M&G at a small radio station as he does in a stadium full of thousands of people. 100% committed is what I am really in awe of right now.

I’m not sure if this was already posted here – if so, please forgive me. I just started to cry when I heard this. Not one singer ever possessed the vocal ability that Adam has – this is just too beautiful to describe!

If you want to reminisce about Adam’s Idol days, this is pretty much the best thing I’ve ever read. It’s the week by week comments of this guy Jacob, from a site called TWOP- Television Without Pity, and he is stream of consciousness and absolutely side-splittingly funny and the bertiest thing you’ve ever read.

thanks niamhcat for this link. I did not follow TWOP back in the Idol era and only go to live journal when prompted. This was so awesome. So many great quotes. I had to write some down. Everyone should read this! Some favs: “forget how his voice is like angels iceskating”. “After 16 weeks, I still don’t know where to look when he’s singing”. And my favorite which still rings true ” ..the best and worst about Adam is how completely unselfconscious and completely self conscious he is at the same time and it just adds up from both sides to this bizarre epic show right in front of you and you can’t look at it because it’s too much but you can’t look away because it’s so amazing”.

Wow, I just had time to read that and I thank you for such wonderful reverie. I went back and watched the videos before each recap and I can’t tell you how much fun it was. Those AI performances have such a special place in my heart, almost more than the Glam Nation videos (well, except for Fever, Strut &Broken Open) and this guy expressed it so beautifully, and funilly, I totally got into the feeling we all had every Tuesday, “What is Adam going to do this week !”
I especially like his comment about what he loves about Adam … The over the top performance and then the eyes clear and he smiles and becomes the kid next door. That was always my favorite part too, and how he ALWAYS thanked the band. NO ONE has done that before or since, I keep waiting for it. Yes, there is only ONE Adam effin Lambert !!

I just loved this niamhcat! I love reliving my Idol Adam experience. This was so funny and loved his incite of each performance. I will never again experience the same thrill and fascination of Idol again. Adam was the beginning and end for me, and even when the other contestants are good, the magic of Adam Lambert is missing. The “not knowing where to look” line and “practically pulling his shirt over his head” line in Ring Of Fire, was hilarious!

Got an email today about the story of Good Luck, Mr Gorski. What a great chance for me to
respond to the email and tell them about Allegra Huston (and Adam!) about our group and her new movie. I guess it is up for some awards. Would love to see it.
I am getting a new renter who is close to my age (well 10 years younger) and I gave her an
Adam cd to listen to before she moves in. She kept looking at my computer and saying, “Oh, he is so beautiful…”

Finally, waiting for Kansas City all day. HEARD it was cuckoo “that’s some good sh**”. Love the Glamberts being so quiet except the random and appropriate whoop when you know they wanted to dance and shot!
So I hear Cuckoo and think, Oh that’s the next single, then I hear Trespassing again, and think, no THAT should be next and on and on! I think this will be the fun song everyone claims.
