Adam Lambert to perform on Japanese television (Video) July 30, 2012 By: Renee Snyder
Adam Lambert will soon be off to Japan to continue promotion of his album, Trespassing. One stop is Mezamashi Live, where he will perform on August 15 in Odaiba, Tokyo. Hosted by Fuji TV network, the performance is part of The United States of Odaiba 2012. Check out a video of Adam announcing the appearance at the video link below.
Adam will also be performing at Japan’s Summer Sonic 2012 concert in Tokyo and Osaka on August 18 and 19. Some other top artists in the line-up include Rihanna, Green Day, and Pitbull.
So far, no other appearances in Japan have been announced for Adam, but of course that can change at any time. However, if he does have anything else lined-up in Japan, it will probably be before the Mezamashi Live performance because he heads to Sydney right after Summer Sonic 2012 to perform an intimate concert at the Take 40 Live Lounge on August 22. cont’d…..

Is anyone else getting very bored with the whole “who’s on first” skit going on with the Idol judges’ table? Have done with it already! Please.
The Hollywood Reporter: Adam Lambert, John Mayer and 5 More Rock Star Options for ‘American Idol’ Judge
Will the Fox series go country or turn the judges’ table up to 11? THR looks at the show’s rocker prospects. 11:25 AM PDT 7/30/2012 by Michele Amabile Angermiller, Shirley Halperin
With Mariah Carey‘s impending arrival at the American Idol judges’ table and Randy Jackson‘s status still unconfirmed, rumors abound about who’ll take the open seat. Will it be a country star or does it make more sense to replace exiting rocker Steven Tyler with another?
Think about it: rock singers (with guitars) generally do well with the Idol audience. You could even say one took the title this year. But Phillip Phillips aside, David Cook, Chris Daughtry, Bo Bice, Constantine Maroulis, James Durbin and now Colton Dixon have made the genre proud.
Few can match Steven Tyler‘s success fronting Aerosmith, of course, but there are plenty more options of the long-haired and tattooed kind worth considering.
1. Bret Michaels: The Poison singer has had the most surprising metamorphosis — from spandex-wearing ’80s hair-metal star to reality show whore (VH-1′s Rock of Love series, Celebrity Apprentice) to America’s sweetheart, all the while overcoming impossible odds including diabetes and flying Rock of Ages stage props. Although a tad overexposed, Michaels’ experience and words of wisdom would be a welcome change from Tyler’s saccharine musings.
…….
7. Adam Lambert: He may not have sold as many records as any of the previously mentioned stars, but the season eight runner-up has a huge advantage — he was on the show. Indeed, Lambert’s Idol run was consistently spectacular, drawing in legions of now diehard fans still grieving that year’s results, and he worked the competition flawlessly. What Idol hopeful wouldn’t welcome the insight, not to mention Lambert’s genial manner, during the most stressful opportunity of their life? Now that’s a judge worth tuning in for.

‘American Idol’ notes: Brad Paisley, Adam Lambert, Haley Reinhart July 30 2012 by Matt Carter
There is quite a bit of good information worth talking about here on our Monday edition of “American Idol” notes, but we will begin with the newest story pertaining to the season 12 judging search.
………………………….
Adam’s next single – Speaking of Adam, he made a rather big announcement on his Twitter account this weekend — the next single from “Trespassing” is coming up soon!
Adam said specifically that the announcement would come in the next week, and we’re personally hoping for “Cuckoo” or “Naked Love” based on how catchy and radio-friendly they are. Let’s just hope that no matter what the song is, it obtains a larger share of radio airplay than either “Better Than I Know Myself” or “Never Close Our Eyes” did earlier this year. to keep reading……

I’ve decided that I’m way too invested in this whole Idol judge thing. It’s driving me crazy. I mean, Joe Jonas? Really? I’ve been kind of meh about Idol the last few seasons, vowing not to watch it after the Scotty debacle and getting sucked into it again, only to be disappointed by yet another WGWG. Many of the names currently being batted about make me disgusted, and really if they don’t pick Adam I think I won’t even bother.
I am now feeling exploited by the whole process which seems designed to simply generate “hits” by putting forth a list of names whether or not they are in consideration for the judging panel. The latest skuttlebutt is that Adam is off the list of possibilities so we’ll just ignore the rest of these silly media games.

I really don’t pay much attention until the show starts then i’m like oh really they picked that person or this till then it’s just all rumors with smoke and mirrors to keep you guessing and interested.
Stopped watching Idol after Adam’s season. No reason to watch especially after Paula left and then Simon. Have only turned it on when Adam made a guest appearance.
Also stopped watching after Adams season .Also watched his guest and mentor appearances.Show has lost alot of viewers .Adam knows so much about music he would be a huge asset and I truley believe rating would no doubt go up.He’ also like it or not honest to a fault.Lets just say it would be the most interesting season since Simon and Paula left!
Adam is on his own beautiful journey. He doesn’t need Idol to enhance his career. It’s their loss not his. Always with you, Adam.
