Adam Lambert has brought Kiev and Moscow audiences to their knees in two performances with Queen. For some, the choice of Adam to front Queen at all was sacrilegious to the divine memory of Freddie Mercury or that he couldn’t possibly do the music justice, others considered it risky but were willing to give Adam a chance and then there are the rest of us who embraced the thought of seeing Adam perform with Queen-again!
Happily a number of the harbingers of negativity have since changed their minds, so I will be sharing my recipe for marinated stuffed crow to those who doubted!

I always listen to the podcast after the fact (like right now, for instance) – but you bring up something that also occured to me re: the Queen + Adam concerts in Russia. I DO think there’s some kind of sympatico there – and I know it’s probably a stereotype – but I believe there’s such a thing as “The Russian Soul”. Deeply felt, emotive, at times dark and mythic. Expressive in the extreme. A perfect fit with Adam and his performances.
