Adam Lambert – Details, Details!
Editor’s Note: In the recent OUT magazine interview, Adam says “I think the thing that’s ironic about it is that the photo session for Details…was kind of done to play out the fantasy of many of my female fans.” He adds that the provocative shoot “although very beautiful, maybe it wasn’t the right timing.” We beg to differ. That shoot inflamed our passions at the perfect moment, helping us cross the emotional desert stretching between the end of the Idols tour and the release of the first album. And it inspired this bit of poetic commentary.
He holds my nekkid form with care
Little glances, loving stare
Reaching with his tongue for mine
Showing that elite jawline
Manicure that’s chipped and rough
A little extra-sexy stuff
Hair: so perfect, clothes: just right
Inspiring shots in black & white
Holy f**k!!! I just can’t take it!
That girl’s a prop, and he can’t fake it
Smarten up and then you’ll see
She’s just a substitute for ME!

I don’t need a photo shoot of Adam with another woman to make my fantasies fly. I look at his face..I look at his hands…I look at his legs….I look at his famous bulge..and then there is his fierce attitude…all encouraging me to lock myself into dreams of fancy. It really doesn’t take much, don’t cha know.
For a long time, it was mystifying to understand the Power of Adam… why Adam excited us so and turned us on, when all the time we knew he was gay.
I’ve now gotten it. Adam is a true Alpha Male to the ‘Nth degree.’ And this has nothing to do with his personal sexuality. It is totally separate.
You could have air-brushed out the female he was ‘groping’ on the Details cover. My personal reaction was to ADAM. Not to his ‘partner’ and anything else implied.
I agree with the comments above and the poem was brilliant. he definitely inspires everything from art, to poetry to the fanasty of him. Pure inspiration and love.

Well, Annehedonia sums it up for me. We all want to be the object of Adam’s affection and we’ll achieve that goal any way we can. Poetry works since Adam doesn’t play for my team. I, on the other hand, will always be a member of Team Adam.
