Teacher Appreciation Day From Adam’s blog today: “Tomorrow is Teacher Appreciation Day. I had a couple of teachers that helped me grow and have attributed to my success today! I still talk to them and feel their impact everyday. Do you have any teachers that have had an impact on you? I want to hear about them!”

PRESS AND BLOG PICKS

CNN – Business moguls pen letter endorsing same sex marriage “The group of moguls — which includes the CEOs of Goldman Sachs, Con Edison and Thompson Reuters, among 23 others — argued that not allowing same-sex couples to marry is hurting the state’s ability to attract qualified workers. “As New Yorkers and business leaders, we believe that attracting talent is key to our state’s economic future,” the letter reads. “We strongly urge New York State to enact marriage equality legislation to help maintain our competitive advantage in attracting the best and brightest people the world has to offer.”"

LA Weekly – L.A.’s A Drag: The Reign of Raja, Tranzkuntinental (and Adam Lambert) On Stage and the Dance Floor So much here about the extended Glamily: “We’ve been celebrating the madness and moxie that drives L.A.’s crossdresser and gay club culture for some time and it seems that more than ever, it’s permeated the mainstream and music in particular. From Adam Lambert’s androgynous hair and makeup (and the legions of straight girls obsessed with them … yeah, we noticed) to the rising popularity of RuPaul’s Drag Race with both gay and straight audiences (the show’s season finale last Monday night – which crowned L.A.’s own Raja the “next drag superstar” — capped off its highest rated & most streamed season ever) to the (glossed) word of mouth buzz on Tranzkuntinental(a group of straight rock studs fronted by L.A.’s best known drag royalty), queens are ruling entertainment.”

OCFamily – A musical journey of motherhood Terrific review of Scarlett Cherry’s “Labor of Love”: “The CD was released just last week and it’s an ideal Mother’s Day gift. The songs are sweet, soulful, poignant and some are funky and fun.  The lyrics are beautiful and evocative of the miracle and mystery of falling in love with an unborn child for the first time in a person’s life. It is not just for moms, but anyone who wants to go deep into that special time when they are reveling in and awaiting the arrival of a child.”

Flecking Records – Adam Lambert in supermarket airplay shockerToday we actually heard an Adam Lambert track playing in a huge shop – in the UK! This is actually the first time, ever, that we have heard an Adam track playing in a public place here in the UK…

MTV News – Adam Lambert Calls ‘Moulin Rouge’ ‘Groundbreaking’  (video) “”I remember just loving it. I thought it was novel. First of all, movie musicals were just starting to come back and I thought it was really interesting to have a movie musical using already existing pop music,” he explained. ” Then you would love “The Donkey Show”, Adam – Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” set in a 70s disco, told entirely through disco hit songs. Still playing in Cambridge, MA (hint, hint).

MTV – Let’s Discuss: Adam Lambert’s Mysterious Facial Hair – Oh Adam, you are a literary muse to so many. “We can all agree that this is amazing, yes? I mean, granted it’s a STRONG look and rather jarring in that there is no where in the room/world where Adam Lambert‘s eyes aren’t following you but as two-colored giant pompadours go, this is kind of a perfect one. Upon a cursory glance he looks like an enormous surprised cockatoo that has perhaps gone to the Dark Side …”

GAGA ALERT

The Lady G’s latest video, “Judas” is set to premiere this Thursday on E! (7PM EST). If it doesn’t provoke outrage and all kinds of uncomfortable feelings and discussion, we’ll be disappointed! In the meantime, here is the track list, released today. Looks like Gaga is taking a more overtly political turn with this album.
