Rock Star Jewelry Designer – Nicolina Royale
By Juneau, co-author of the book On the Meaning of Adam Lambert
Dropping by the Hollywood studio of jewelry designer Nicolina Royale is a bit like stumbling into Ali Baba’s cave – if Ali Baba were Keith Richards channeled through the whimsical mind of an adorable rocker chick. I found my way there by following Adam’s trail – he has favored quite a few of Nicolina’s pieces (see photo gallery). If you love edgy, bold design that you can also live with day in and day out (as long as you don’t mind being jabbed on occasion by a spike), you must check out her online store. Displayed in gilded cabinets and piled high against the walls are leather cuffs fortified with studs or sliced into thin strips, chokers of artfully draped chains, crystals and hardware, and playful leather bow-tie rings bristling with spikes. This is jewelry with an F-U attitude that is beautiful enough to get away with it!

Hi Juneau! I met you at Nicolina’s.
Sorry we were talking so much in the background. Didn’t realize you were taping. I just didn’t put two and two together.
Anywho, nice piece on Nicolina’s rock-star jewelry. Totally love my cuff.
Next is that leather fringe scarf-thing in silver-y gray. Must start saving up again.
Thanks for all your v-blogs and blogs and…etc.
Hi Dori,
Thanks for connecting over our Lounge! No worries – the background sound creates the impression that the shop is busy, which is good! Glad you enjoyed the piece. I loved meeting Nicolina. What a sweetie!! I bought several pieces for holiday gifts: A leather fringe, keychain and cuff that she specially made on spot with vegan leather for my vegetarian daughter. Thanks for enjoying our Salon! – Juneau
Thank you for this post. Glad that you girls are back safe and sound. Hope you had a wonderful time in LA. You were part of a milestone in Adam’s career. You are both so fortunate to have been there to witness the very last song of the Glam Nation Tour.
The jewellery in this post is beautiful. Thank you for showing it.
Love from Gale Hunter
